Nowadays, very few people carry a camera as a separate device. The mobile phone camera technology has become highly advanced and good for our daily photos in the high definition. For most, if your cell phone camera is not working, then you don’t have a camera at all.
Normally, camera problems are a result of obvious damage that needs repair due to the mobile phone being dropped or damages. On the other hand, there are times were the camera just stops working, and it is unclear what the issue is. If this is the case, we suggest the following techniques to see if you can resolve the problem. (link to a separate article)
Troubleshooting Mobile Phone Camera Problems
Your mobile phone might need a soft reset to be fixed. This can be done by removing the battery without turning your mobile phone off. After about a minute, place the battery back on, switch the mobile phone on and try using the camera again to see if the problem has been resolved.
The mobile phone memory card might also be affecting this fault. Make sure that the memory card is properly inserted in your phone. You can check this out by pulling out the memory card and re-inserting it in its right position. The memory card can be found at either side of your phone or can also be found underneath the mobile phone battery. If so, one would need to take off the battery to take this off. Once you have taken the memory card off and placed it back firmly, test the mobile phone camera again.
Last but not least, your phone might need a software update. Some mobile phone models update automatically or prompt the user when a new update is needed but others would need a manual update.
Outdated software may easily be fixed with an over-the-air download. If you recently installed a new app before the cell phone camera stopped working, you might want to try uninstalling that app to make sure it wasn’t the cause.
